Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing RoastMySite.co.za or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you are using the service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

2. What we provide

RoastMySite provides AI-assisted website audit reports (“roasts”) that review publicly visible aspects of a website — such as design, clarity, mobile usability, performance, basic SEO, and visible security signals — and present findings in an entertaining, plain-English format with suggested improvements.

3. Orders & pricing

Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We currently offer tiered packages (for example Basic, Advanced, and Expert) and may offer a free mini-roast. We may change prices and package contents at any time, but changes will not affect orders already paid for.

You are responsible for submitting a valid, publicly accessible website URL that you own or are authorised to submit.

4. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Paystack. By paying, you authorise us (via Paystack) to charge the amount shown at checkout. We do not store your full card details. An order is confirmed once payment is successfully received.

5. Delivery

Reports are delivered by email to the address you provide, normally within a short time of payment (often around 15 minutes, though this may vary). It is your responsibility to provide a correct email address and to check your spam/junk folder. If your report does not arrive, contact support@roastmysite.co.za with your payment reference.

6. Refunds

Because reports are generated and delivered digitally and on demand:

• Once a report has been generated and delivered, it is generally not refundable.
• If a failure on our side prevented delivery (for example, our system errored and no report was produced), we will re-run the report or, at our discretion, refund the order.
• If you were charged more than once in error, we will refund the duplicate charge.

To request a refund review, email us within 7 days of your order with your payment reference. This clause does not limit any rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit websites you do not own or have no permission to audit.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defame, or harm others.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
• Resell or republish reports as your own work without permission.

8. Disclaimer — important

Humour is part of the product. Findings are written in a direct, comedic tone and are intended as constructive feedback, not as statements of fact about you or your business.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoastMySite and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service or reliance on a report. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

10. Intellectual property

The RoastMySite name, logo, mascot, website, and underlying software are our property. The report we generate for your order is provided to you for your own business use. You may share and act on it; you may not resell it as a standalone product or misrepresent its origin.

11. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms and complies with POPIA.

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service for any user who breaches these terms or uses the service unlawfully. You may stop using the service at any time.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
